when you name it hold down "Alt "
and press " 0160 " this will create and
invisible space so it will apper as if it
has no name .
then right click in and select

Microsoft Word : Love it or hate it, practically everyone uses
it. I ' ve been using it so long, I thought I knew everything
about it. But I stumbled across some super helpful shortcuts -
hidden tricks and timesavers that make Microsoft Word
easier and faster . One caveat for these tips : different
versions of Word may have different commands, so some of
these may not work in your version . That said , here are my
top eight shortcuts :

1 . Double Click And Drag : - like most people , when you want
to move a section of text from one place to another , you use
Control X to cut and Control V to paste . That ' s fine , It works .
But there ' s a faster way: Just Highlight the Text or Image you
want to move, then simply drag what you ' ve highlighted to
where you want it to land.

2 . Double Underline You know you can affect text by hitting
Control - B to make it bold or Control - U to underline. But if
one line of underlining just isn ' t emphatic enough , Control-
Shift - D will double underline it and make it look like a Note,
Guess you remember those days when we do copy note with a
double underline under the Heading . ( On a Mac , use
Command - Shift - D. ) If that doesn' t make your point , you may
have to go to ALL CAPS , and I ' ve got a shortcut for that too …

3 . Change Case Instead of retyping everything to change from
lower case to UPPERCASE , just highlight the text you want to
change , click the case button, and then choose which case
you want.

4 . Adding Buttons to Your Toolbar Suppose you just tried
using shortcut # 3 , but the case button isn ' t on your toolbar,
no worries ; you can add it ( and almost any other command ) .
Go to View , Toolbars , Customize Toolbars , Commands, then
scroll to find the command you want — and drag it to where
on the toolbar you want it.

5 . Add the Date How many times a day do you type the date ?
If you do it even once, that ' s too much. Next time , just hit
Alt - Shift - D ( or Control- Shift - D on a Mac ) to add the date
automatically .

6 . Quick Parts : This next tip builds on what the Autotext
function did in older versions of Word : If you have a certain
paragraph of text you regularly need to add to a document —
like a boilerplate disclaimer , or maybe directions to your
office — turn it into a Quick Part . Here ' s how :
Quick Parts 1 . Highlight the text you regularly use

2 . Click the insert tab
3 . Hit Quick Parts , and choose " Save Selection To The Quick
Part Gallery " Now any time you want to insert that chunk of
text into a document , either a new one or and old one you ' re
editing , just hit that Quick Parts button . Just one more click
will select which saved Quick Part to insert . This trick will
even work as a shortcut for adding a logo or letterhead .

How to Hide Your IP Address

Hiding your I.P. address offers an additional
layer of security when surfing on the
internet. There may be times when visiting a
site that it may try to access your personal
information without you knowing. With
security flaws in web browser, a hacker site
can install malware onto your computer and
access it through your IP address. The
internet can be a hostile environment for
non-experience web surfers. So why not
hide your computer and ISP I.P. address
from the web. This can easily be done with a
proxy server.
Step1:
You will need to download proxy server
software from the internet. See my resource
links below for safe downloads.
Step2:
Once you have the proxy server software
installed, you will most likely need to update
its database with proxy server IP addresses.
Refer to the Help file of the software you
downloaded for detailed instructions.
Step3:
Some proxy software will ask you for the
browser you are going to use so that can it
configure the browser for the correct proxy
IP address. Some software will automatically
detect what browsers are installed on your
computer and configure them automatically.
Step4:
For anonymous web surfing you will need to
enable your proxy server software before
opening your browser. If you are using
Internet Explorer, you can go to Tools,
Internet Options, Connections, and then
select LAN settings. If you see that the proxy
server box is checked and you see an IP
address and port numbers, then you are all
set. This is only a one time check and
doesn't need to be repeated for the next
time.
Step5:
To surf the web with out a proxy server, all
you need is to deactivate the proxy server.
This will restore your browser configuration
to the original settings.

Note: in Firefox version 1 . 5 , the command line is
single window . open in tabs .
5 . Next : we will increase the " pipeline" RAM ability for
Firefox to accomodate more
packet transfer. In the same config document , scroll down to
the line that says
network . http . pipelining . Double click this line to set it to
" true " .
6 . Lastly, we will increase the maximum pipeline requests to
100 . Find the line that
says
network . http . pipelining. maxrequests. Double click on it, and
a dialog box will
pop up . Change the setting from 4 to 100 .
7 . No need to save this file. Simply close and restart Firefox,
and you should see an
immediate 10 % to 40 % increase in web page transfer speed ,
and faster opening
of your tabbed windows ! Enjoy !

How to format a computer and reset your computer back to thedefault settings:

(also known as reformatting, wiping or restoring your computer to
factory defaults) The following steps will delete all of the
information off of your computer’s hard drive. Please make sure
that you have backed up all your data, programs, address book,
data, calendars, etc, etc. It will ALL be gone after these formatting
steps

What is the benefit to formatting my computer? How to format
the computer’s hard drive:


The easiest way to format your computer is by locating your
operating system CD. Look for a CD or DVD that specifically says
“Operating System” or “System Restore”. Insert the installation disc
into your CD or DVD drive.
Restart your computer.
When your computer is restarting, you will be prompted to “Press
any key to boot from CD”. Simply press any button on your
keyboard when you see this message. If you do not see this
message when you restart your computer, you may need to reset
your boot disk sequence. *
*To reset the boot sequence, go into BIOS mode. To do this, restart
your computer and while restarting press the F1, F2, F10, or maybe
the delete key (your computer screen will say “To enter setup press
xxx”. You only have a few seconds to press the correct key, so if
you miss it you will need to restart your computer and try again.
Once you have successfully entered the BIOS mode, look for your
boot sequence options. Set the CD ROM drive to be the 1 st in the
boot sequence. Save your changes and exit.
The CD will load a blue screen, then after a few minutes will ask you
to press Enter to set up Windows.
You will then be prompted to select where to install Windows. There
will be a box on the lower half of your screen that will either show
“Unpartitioned space xxxMB” or will have “Partitioned space
xxxMB”. Highlight which partition you wish to format (typically it
will be the unpartitioned space or the space with the largest partition
by most megabytes). Hit Enter after selecting the space to partition.
The next step is to choose which file system to format the drive
with. The NTFS option will be the fastest option. For most formatting
purposes, choose the option that ends in “Quick”. Press Enter when
done.
The computer will then begin the formatting process. This process
may take a while depending on the size of the hard drive you are
formatting and the speed of hard drive.
As soon as the drive has been formatted, the operating system files
will be copied to the hard drive and the operating system will start
installing.
